Power:

Michael has an ability to heal that some people would call "miraculous" were they to see it. Whether for himself or for others, he can heal with such speed and power that it's nearly frightening. He healed his own childhood scrapes and sores with ease, and his power only increased the older he got. Lately, he's been able to heal deeper wounds along with some illnesses.

History:

Michael has led a fairly peaceful life. He was born to a pair of Jews living in Jerusalem, and aside from the terrors that soon became a part of his daily life, he had no trouble growing up. He was lucky enough to never be involved in any kind of terror attach, and slid through school, neither doing particularly well nor particularly poorly. Michael never had any siblings, due to complications following his birth, and always felt rather alone in his family as a result.

His power never manifested with a flash of light or a sudden incident; it was more of something that evolved over time. He never mentioned it to anyone, and for quite some time as a child, he was unaware that the ability was any different from anyone else. When he did discover that his way of covering up scratches, accelerating the healing of cuts and illnesses, was not usual, he decided to keep it quieter, and has never mentioned it to anyone.

He recently moved into the Hebrew University dormitories, which only served to make him feel more distant from his family. When he met Samail and began an unsteady friendship with him, it was a comfort to have someone nearby that he could talk to without feeling odd. And slowly enough, that comfort started growing into something else that made Michael feel like he was a failure and had turned his face from God.

Personality:

Michael is rather softspoken and thoughtful about everything he says, no matter how consequential it may be. He's very gentle and considerate, thinking through just about everything he does before he actually takes any action. He trusts people easily, connecting with them and relying on them with very little hesitation.

People have told Michael that he's easy to like. He has a smile that could tame wild beasts, even though he doesn't tend to smile often. He's very sober most of the time, and often seems to be lost somewhere in his own mind, daydreaming or thinking about something that no one else can see. He does tend to be a bit distant from people that he doesn't know, but to those he does know, he's very intimate and open, willing to talk, share stories... just about anything, really. It takes a while for him to get attached to people, but once he does, it's hard for him to let go.

Appearance:

Michael is scrawny and of rather small build, especially for a boy his age. He always has a rather distant, thoughtful expression. He has dark hair and eyes, and he's the sort who tends to get lost easily in a crowd or left behind in a rush -- he's just not the sort of person that's easy to notice.
